Dr. Tahani Aljafari Joins Maarif Company as Chief Academic Officer for National Schools

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tahani Aljafari has joined Maarif Company as Chief Academic Officer for National Schools.

Dr. Tahani brings over 12 years of distinguished experience in educational leadership, policy development, and system-wide improvement across national and international contexts. She is a highly respected leader known for her strategic vision, charismatic leadership style, and deep commitment to educational excellence that honours national identity, values, and traditions.

In her most recent role as Director General of Riyadh Schools Group at MiSK Foundation, Dr. Tahani has led the establishment and development of a large-scale educational group, overseeing strategic planning, academic quality assurance, curriculum design, staff development, governance, and community engagement. Her leadership has encompassed both academic and operational domains, ensuring alignment with national priorities and long-term sustainability.

Previously, Dr. Tahani served as Director General of King Fahad Academy in London. She has extensive experience in policy design, curriculum development, professional development programmes, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with government bodies, international consultants, and regulatory authorities. Her consultancy work has included contributing to strategic educational reform initiatives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, in collaboration with globally recognised firms.

Dr. Tahani holds a PhD in Higher Education Policy from the University of Bristol, a Master’s degree in International Educational Management from the University of Leeds, and multiple postgraduate qualifications in education and social sciences. She is also certified in PRINCE2 project management, further strengthening her ability to lead complex, multi-dimensional initiatives.
