Revolutionizing Sports Development in KSA: Maarif Education & The Saudi Netball Federation Join Forces.
Maarif Education and The Saudi Netball Federation have joined hands to revolutionize the sports development scene in KSA. With the launch of their newest division, Maarif Sports Club, which was created to focus solely on implementing their Sports Strategy, Maarif Education has raised the bar for sustainable sports development in schools. This strategic move is a game-changer for the talented athletes who aspire to compete at a national and international level.
To mark this momentous occasion, a ground-breaking affiliation has been established between Maarif Sports Club and The Saudi Netball Federation. This pioneering alliance will provide a conducive environment for students to hone their skills and play sports at an elite level. The Federation will offer professional technical expertise and resources to assist young, aspiring athletes to achieve their full potential.
Ihab Osman, CEO, Maarif Education added, “At Maarif Education, we want to help create more opportunities for young athletes who want to pursue a career in sport. Princess Ghada Al Saud, President of the Saudi Netball Federation Committee, said “Our objective is to encourage participation at every level, recognize excellence and assist talented players to achieve their goals. We are excited to partner with Maarif Education to help their students explore and develop their talent through Netball”.
This partnership is a huge step forward in encouraging female students of all ages and abilities to play and compete in Netball at every level. Kaye Smith, Director of Sports at Maarif Education explained, it is important to provide an inclusive environment for young athletes to participate in various sports. By working closely with local Sports Federations, we can create elite pathways for students who aspire to compete in their chosen sport at a high level. We also recognise that students benefit from invaluable life skills acquired through sports and Netball encourages teamwork, communication and builds resilience which are all positive traits we aim to inspire among our female students.
‘Maarif Sports Club’ was established in 2022 to focus on the sports development across all schools in alignment with The Saudi Vision 2030 and The Quality-of-Life Program. As part of our campaign to engage students in sports, we are also looking forward to launching the Maarif Schools Netball League, the first of many school sports leagues which will be introduced in the new academic year.
